Do you offer free estimates? Phone or text estimates are free when the scope is clear. For troubleshooting or unclear issues, a service call may be required to properly assess the problem.

What is a service call charge?

A service call charge is the base fee . Our $80 service call charge includes travel, assessment, and up to the first hour of labour.

Why do you charge a service call?


The service call covers travel time, tools, experience, and the time needed to properly assess and complete repairs. It ensures even small jobs are handled professionally and efficiently.

What if the job takes less than an hour?

The service call still applies. Even quick jobs require travel, setup, and professional expertise.

When do you use flat-rate pricing instead of a service call?

Flat-rate pricing is used for common, predictable jobs like fixture replacements or installations. If the scope is clear up front, we're happy to provide a flat price.

What if you find something unexpected?

If we discover hidden damage or an issue outside the original scope, we'll explain the situation and discuss pricing before doing any additional work. No surprises.

Are materials included in the price?

Minor consumables (anchors, screws, sealant) are included. Fixtures are typically supplied by the customer. Materials we purchase are billed separately with a standard markup.

Do you offer discounts?

Occasional discounts may be available for seniors, repeat customers, or bundled jobs. Ask when scheduling.

Do you charge for travel?

Travel within my normal service area is included in the service call. Jobs outside the area may include an additional trip fee.

Is there a minimum charge?

Yes. All on-site visits are subject to the service call minimum.

How do I get the most value from a visit?

If you have multiple small repairs, make a list ahead of time. Most customers get the best value by handling several items during one
